Registered Investment Adviser

Peter Harre

Peter B. Harre is a Chartered Financial Analyst who enjoys helping individuals develop and implement their personalized investment management plans.

Prior to co-founding Cauble Harre & Freeman Wealth Management with his sister Liz Cauble in 2007, Peter was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager with Bank of America in St. Louis. He has been in the industry for over 30 years. In the late 1980’s, Peter’s approach to investing was influenced by two events. The first was reading the book Funny Money by Mark Singer. It is the story of how a shopping center bank in Oklahoma threatened the solvency of several national banks through bad loans made to the oil and gas industry. The second was a job working for Emerson Electric’s treasury department while in graduate school. Peter was asked to evaluate products being marketed by Investment Banks and determine how they could break or not work as expected. These two experiences put the questions “What could go wrong and what do we do about it?” into Peter’s DNA.

Peter holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the St. Louis Society of Financial Analysts. Peter earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and he received his Masters of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Peter and his wife live in Town & Country, MO.
